Q:whenever I even open any program or just click on the start button, my CPU usage goes up to 100% and then settles to around 15% in a few moments. Every time i do anything, the usage shoots up to 100%, slowing down my PC. What can I do? Also, there are 35 processes running in the background, out of which 10 are system critical processes. around 5 of the others i’m not able to delete, it says access denied, though I am the administrator.I don’t have norton.
A:It could be that you have lots of other programs starting up at start-up time which you don’t really need. To check this go to Start > Run and then type msconfig. Then click on the Startup tab and you should see a list of programs which you can deselect if you don’t want them at startup.
we’d also suggest you uninstall all programs that you have stopped using and use our software to cleanup your computer and registry.
